Manual Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation

Who are we?

Bart Van Keymolen

After passing my Masters in Physiotherapy in 2004, I started a two-year Post Graduate Advanced Master of Science in Manual Therapy (MSc Manual Therapy) at the Free University of Brussels. Shortly after my first year, I was given the opportunity to work at the Manual Therapy practice run by Professor Dr. Ivan Bautmans, with whom I’d thoroughly enjoyed working for the last 5 years. 2008 saw the start of my own practice, with the focus on Manual Therapy.

Outside of my work as a Therapist, I’m a scientific contributor and lecturer at the Free University of Brussels, where I’m partially responsible for the practical lessons in the Post Graduate Advanced Master of Science in Manual Therapy. For this particular course I also act as internship supervisor. By request from the Institute for Master Education in Musculoskeletal Therapies (SOMT) in The Netherlands, I also provide practical lectures as part of their Master of Science of Manual Therapy Program.

In my free time I like to keep myself busy by running, climbing and I enjoy photography.

Roel De Groef

In 2014 I obtained my Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy - option Manual Therapy. Followed in 2016 by my degree Master after Master of Science in Manual Therapy.

During my manual therapy training I received lessons from Bart and I also did an internship in this practice. I gained my first work experience at the Dedecker-Weyers practice in Koningslo, where I enjoyed working for two years. At Bart's request, I have been proud to call myself a therapist in this practice since 2016.

In addition to my interest in manual therapy, I also focus on soccer and music (drums and cornet) in my spare time.

Ine Van de Weghe

In 2018 I completed my Master of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy - option Manual Therapy, at the Free University of Brussels. This coming academic year I will start the post-Master-of-Master of Science in Manual Therapy with the aim of becoming a full-fledged Manual Therapist.

I already did an internship in this practice and will also receive lessons from Bart during my education. After my internship here I was given the opportunity to work as a third colleague in this practice.

In my spare time I am involved in fitness, walking and playing the piano.
