Manual Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation

Who are we?

Bart Van Keymolen

After passing my Masters in Physiotherapy in 2004, I started a two-year Post Graduate Advanced Master of Science in Manual Therapy (MSc Manual Therapy) at the Free University of Brussels. Shortly after my first year, I was given the opportunity to work at the Manual Therapy practice run by Professor Dr. Ivan Bautmans, with whom I’d thoroughly enjoyed working for the last 5 years. 2008 saw the start of my own practice, with the focus on Manual Therapy.

Outside of my work as a Therapist, I’m a scientific contributor and lecturer at the Free University of Brussels, where I’m partially responsible for the practical lessons in the Post Graduate Advanced Master of Science in Manual Therapy. For this particular course I also act as internship supervisor. By request from the Institute for Master Education in Musculoskeletal Therapies (SOMT) in The Netherlands, I also provide practical lectures as part of their Master of Science of Manual Therapy Program.

In my free time I like to keep myself busy by running, climbing and I enjoy photography.

Roel De Groef

In 2014 I obtained my Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy - option Manual Therapy. Followed in 2016 by my degree Master after Master of Science in Manual Therapy.

During my manual therapy training I received lessons from Bart and I also did an internship in this practice. I gained my first work experience at the Dedecker-Weyers practice in Koningslo, where I enjoyed working for two years. At Bart's request, I have been proud to call myself a therapist in this practice since 2016.

In addition to my interest in manual therapy, I also focus on soccer and music (drums and cornet) in my spare time.

Brend Verreydt

In 2019 I completed my Master of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy - option Manual Therapy. I started working as a therapist in a group practice in Keerbergen and also worked as a return-to-play trainer at the youth academy of KV Mechelen. I combined this with the Master after Master of Science in Manual Therapy, which I completed in 2020. In this training I received practical lessons from Bart, who challenged me critically and motivated me to become a skilled manual therapist. I was therefore very enthusiastic when I got the opportunity to complete this strong team.
My passion for the human body and a healthy lifestyle can also be found in my spare time. I am involved in various sports, such as running, snowboarding and fitness. I also like to make music (guitar and vocals).

In my spare time I am involved in fitness, walking and playing the piano.
